FDC appoints Joyce Nabbosa as the acting party president

The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) has appointed Joyce Nabbosa Ssebugwawo as acting party president.

Her appointment comes after the current president Patrick Oboi Amuriat stepped aside to compete with Wasswa Biriggwa for the party presidential flag for 2021.

Ssebugwawo, who serves as the Rubaga division Mayor will preside over the party until primaries for presidential flag bearer race are held.

In the same press briefing at the party headquarters, Amuriat and Birigwa returned nomination forms for FDC presidential flag-bearer.

The two promised to take on President Museveni with the view of changing the way the country is run.

The two candidates will campaign across the country after which delegates will elect their preferred candidate to run for president.

In his address, Birigwa, said if elected as the president of this country, he will improve on the state of technology.

"I promise I will bring innovation and children will not need to travel so far away in order to go to school,"he assured the nation.

Equally after his nomination, Amuriat said if elected, he will work towards bridging the gap between the young people and the elderly .
