NBS Sports journalist Nina Kakwanzi has been named the Uganda Cricket Association Female Journalist of 2024, a remarkable achievement in her young career covering cricket.

Having covered cricket for just a year, Kakwanzi’s passion and commitment have already left an indelible mark. Her standout moment came when she traveled with the Cricket Cranes to Namibia for the T20 World Cup Qualifiers. “Watching the Cricket Cranes work hard to achieve the qualification was so inspiring. They finally did qualify, which hadn’t happened in over 20 years, and it made me very proud and honored to witness this in person,” she shared.
