The Buganda Road Court magistrate has issued witness summons to Kabarole Woman MP, Sylvia Rwabwogo over failure to appear before court to give her defence in a case in which she accuses a student, Brian Isiko of sending her love messages.

Isiko's lawyer Waiswa Ramathan, expressed frustration and urged court to dismiss the matter.

"Last time, we raised the objection challenging the evidence given not being authentic to be administered and court referred us to the High Court for an interpretation," Waiswa said.

The High court ruled in their favour.

“We were expecting the ruling to take it’s due course unfortunately neither the trial magistrate in this case Stella Amabilis nor the complainant Sylvia Rwabogo was present,” Waiswa told journalists in an interview.

The case was later adjourned to May 22, 2019 when a ruling shall be made after hearing Rwabwogo's side.

In 2018, Rwabwogo ran to court accusing the YMCA student Brain Isiko over sending her love messages which disorganised her.

Rwabwogo said she reported the case because she did not want to die like former Butaleja Woman MP Cerinah Nebanda.
