Lumonya highlighted the significance of the tournament, stating, "The Seniors Open Tournament has now become one of the Authority's key annual activities in celebration of International Aviation Week." She emphasized the importance of golfers as frequent fliers and users of Entebbe International Airport's facilities and services, making them crucial stakeholders for UCAA.
The tournament attracted a competitive field, with John Paul Waigo emerging as the overall winner in the men's category with a score of 136 nett, while Edrae Kagombe took the top spot in the ladies' category with a score of 129 nett.
