Military Police Tasked to Safeguard Integrity Ahead of National Examinations
The Military Police play a vital role in securing the Primary Leaving Examination, Uganda Certificate of Education, and Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education, ensuring that examination materials are handled, transported, and stored under the highest security standards.

Uganda People’s Defence Force (UPDF) Military Police personnel have been called upon to uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism as they provide security during the upcoming Uganda National Examinations Board (Uneb) exams.

The directive was issued by Brigade Operations and Training Officer (BOTO), Colonel Sylvia Meeme, during a security briefing at Nsujju Mporwe Barracks in Mpigi District on Tuesday.

Meeme emphasized the crucial role of the Military Police in protecting the credibility of national examinations.

“You are going to safeguard eleven years of hard work and the future of young Ugandans by keeping their exams secure, because you are a trusted force,” she said.

She reminded officers that their professionalism and integrity are key to ensuring that the examination process remains credible and free from malpractice.

The Uneb Manager for Examination Management, James Turyatemba, commended the Military Police for their consistent dedication and exemplary performance in previous examination cycles.

He urged them to remain vigilant, particularly in overseeing the safe transportation and storage of examination materials.

“Your vigilance and integrity are critical in ensuring that no compromise occurs during this sensitive national exercise,” Turyatemba said.
