Museveni will only go when you stop voting him, not because you are shouting- Otafiire

Justice and Constitutional Affairs Minister Kahinda Otafiire has advised the Opposition that protests and force will not remove Museveni from power.

Otafiire was speaking during the commissioning of the Ibanda Justice Centre where he said Museveni would only be removed through the ballot but not shouting.

“Museveni will only go when you stop voting him, he will not go because people are shouting. No body is going to shout Museveni out of office,” he said.

“We never had democracy before us, he is a pioneer of democratic practice in this country, let us allow him achieve the aims we fought for,” he added.

Otafiire urged opposition to debate issues with their brains and desist from starting fights or using force. He said that the same opposition start using force and in the end when they are beaten, they are the same ones that go lamenting.

“They fight and when they are beaten, they complain that they have been beaten,” he said.

Otafiire is the second bush war hero to call upon opposition to desist from use of force as means of taking away Museveni.

Last week, Security Minister Gen Elly Tumwine warned youth against the use of force, saying that the government has more force.

“If you try using force to take us out, we are more dangerous,” Tumwine said.
