Philip Mwebaza, CEO of AFHEG Foundation, emphasized the transformative impact of gamified learning.

With games like 'Super Bugs Clash Kampala Edition,' we offer a fun way to communicate difficult health subjects and remove comprehension barriers. Our group is dedicated to creating a community that is health literate and equipped with the information and abilities needed to make wise health decisions. Through the use of gamified learning and imaginative storytelling, we hope to both inform and motivate people to adopt sustainable health behaviours." Mwebaza emphasised.

He affirmed that AFHEG Foundation aims to foster a resilient and proactive community in addressing health challenges. He reassured that more games are currently being designed to simplify complex health issues.

The event, attended by over 30 people including artists, content creators, public health professionals, mental health advocates, and students, showcased a variety of activities such as games, virtual reality (VR) experiences, and therapeutic art sessions. These activities illustrated the collective commitment to immersive and holistic health education.

Emmanuel Rukundo of Keepers XR discussed the pivotal role of VR in the educational settings.

"By allowing participants to step into different health scenarios, VR transforms learning from passive observation to active engagement” Rukundo noted.

This first hand experience fosters a deeper connection with health challenges, making the educational process more impactful and empowering individuals to advocate for healthier communities. The integration of VR technology into educational initiatives demonstrates innovative approaches to making health education more impactful and memorable.

Rodney Kiggundu, Founder Kiggundu Art Studio, highlighted the broader impact of innovations like 'Superbugs Clash' and the impact of art on health. He said that art forms like therapeutic and digital art are important avenues of sensitizing people when it comes to health.
