45 Rwandan suspects brought to court, charged with terrorism

45 Rwandan nationals who were arrested in Kikagati as they were crossing from Tanzania into Uganda have appeared in Mbarara High Court and charged with terrorism, establishment of a terrorism institution and forgery.

The suspects were not allowed to enter any plea since the case is only triable by the High court.

Mbarara Grade 1 magistrate Ayebale Daphine remanded the suspects to Mbrarara Central prison up to 15th of January.

The suspects were arrested two weeks ago and detained in Nalufenya from where they were transferred to Mbarara magistrates court for the hearing of their case.
