"They just want to frustrate FDC from discussing the exit of their master who is Museveni. That is the reason DP has refused to handover leadership to FDC," he said.

DP, which chairs the IPOD summit, said FDC must first show their commitment in writing to the cause of the organisation before they assume leadership.

Mafabi dismissed the request by DP leadership saying such conditions were not part of the IPOD Memorandum of Understanding.

FDC has skipped two summit meetings of IPOD saying they don't want to waste time interfacing with Museveni.

FDC spokesperson, Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda said FDC's main agenda as chair of IPOD summit will be to discuss how Museveni exits power.

Mafabi warned DP leadership to stop clinging onto the IPOD chair.
