The President of the Rotary Club of Kampala Kibuli, Mariam Nakimuli, has held talks with the Wakiso Muslim District leadership on ways to strengthen cooperation in community development and humanitarian programmes.
Nakimuli made a courtesy visit to the Wakiso Muslim District Headquarters, where she met with district leaders, including County Sheikhs and youth representatives, to discuss areas of collaboration.
The meeting focused on promoting partnerships in education, youth empowerment, community welfare and humanitarian support.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to working together on initiatives aimed at addressing community challenges and improving the well-being of residents across Wakiso District.
The discussions highlighted the importance of collaboration between faith-based institutions and service organisations in creating opportunities for young people through education, skills development and other social support programmes.
Wakiso Muslim District leaders welcomed the engagement and appreciated the Rotary Club of Kampala Kibuli for its willingness to establish partnerships that benefit communities.
"We appreciate Mariam and the Rotary Club of Kampala Kibuli for their visit and their commitment to building strong partnerships. We pray that Allah blesses these efforts with success and a lasting positive impact on our communities," the district leadership said.
The meeting ended with both institutions agreeing to continue discussions on joint initiatives aimed at strengthening community development and improving the lives of people in Wakiso District.
