Bakaluba Drags TikToker Senga Acid to Canadian Court in Shs2.7bn Defamation Suit
Businessman Yasin Bakaluba Sekimwanyi has filed a Shs2.7 billion defamation suit in Canada against TikToker Sharon Mutesi, alleging that viral videos damaged his reputation by linking him to criminal and sexual misconduct.

Businessman Yasin Bakaluba Sekimwanyi has dragged TikToker Sharon Mutesi, popularly known as “Senga Acid,” to court in Canada, accusing her of publishing defamatory content that he says severely damaged his reputation and business interests.

Bakaluba is seeking a total of CAD 1 million (about Shs2.7 billion) in damages over alleged false and damaging statements circulated through the TikTok account “Professor Senga Acid.”

The claim includes CAD 500,000 in general damages, CAD 200,000 in special damages, and CAD 300,000 in aggravated, exemplary and punitive damages.

Court documents show the case is anchored on a series of TikTok videos allegedly published over several days beginning April 2026, which Bakaluba says were widely accessible, including in Ontario, Canada.

In the Statement of Claim, he alleges that the content portrayed him in a criminal and immoral light.

“The Plaintiff pleads that, over several days beginning in April 2026, the Defendant, Ms. Mutesi, published numerous videos on the TikTok platform through her account ‘Professor Senga Acid,’ in the Luganda language, which were accessible to and viewed by third parties worldwide, including persons within the Province of Ontario,” the filing states.

He further claims the videos suggested involvement in fraud and other criminal activity.

“That the Plaintiff is a criminal who has engaged in acts of fraud, theft, and/or robbery, and has dishonestly exploited individuals for financial gain,” the court documents state.

Bakaluba also alleges the content portrayed him as violent and threatening.

“That the Plaintiff engages in serious criminal conduct, including intimidation, threats of violence, and conduct capable of causing harm or death to others,” the claim reads.

On allegations of sexual misconduct, the filing states that he was depicted as engaging in unlawful and inappropriate sexual behaviour.

“That the Plaintiff has engaged in sexual relations with young women and/or minors, and is therefore guilty of conduct amounting to sexual exploitation and/or criminal sexual offences,” the documents state.

It further alleges non-consensual conduct.

“That the Plaintiff has engaged in non-consensual or inappropriate physical contact with women, including conduct amounting to sexual assault,” the Statement of Claim adds.

Bakaluba, a Kampala-based businessman with interests in real estate and investment promotion, argues that the alleged publications caused serious reputational and commercial harm.

Mutesi, who operates under the online identity “Senga Acid” and is based in Canada, is known for her outspoken commentary on Ugandan public figures and has previously attracted controversy on social media.

In earlier online responses, she appeared defiant over the legal action.

“You can have any other person arrested but not me. Suing me is ok, but threatening me is not ok,” she said.

Court filings indicate the defendant is required to file a defence within strict timelines under Ontario civil procedure rules, failing which judgment may be entered.

The matter will proceed before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice unless it is settled, withdrawn or dismissed.
