Mayor Rulinda Pledges Accelerated Development and Better Service Delivery in Entebbe
Entebbe Municipality Mayor Fabrice Brad Rulinda has begun his second term after being sworn in, pledging to fast-track infrastructure projects, improve service delivery and address youth unemployment in the lakeside municipality.

Entebbe Municipality Mayor Fabrice Brad Rulinda has been sworn in for a second term, vowing to accelerate infrastructure development, promote innovation and tackle youth unemployment.

The ceremony was held at the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre, where Rulinda expressed appreciation for the support he received from residents during his previous term.

“The people of Entebbe showed us love, spirit, and support and we do not take it for granted,” he said.

He pledged that his administration will prioritise completion of ongoing infrastructure projects and improve service delivery across the municipality.

“We want to accelerate and ensure all pending infrastructural projects are completed during this term,” Rulinda said.

The mayor also committed to improving healthcare services and promoting a cleaner, healthier urban environment for residents.

He urged newly elected councilors to work closely with the executive to deliver results for the population.

The newly elected Deputy Speaker of Entebbe Municipal Council, Mwagalwa Ibrahim, said the incoming council will focus on innovation and community-driven development initiatives.

“The incoming council will target innovative ideas that come up from the local communities,” he said.

Mwagalwa added that Entebbe’s strategic importance as a municipality near Uganda’s main international gateway requires high-quality service delivery and efficient governance.

He further pledged stronger oversight of government programs, particularly the Parish Development Model (PDM), to ensure intended beneficiaries at the grassroots level fully benefit from the initiative.

The new leadership is expected to focus on urban renewal and improved service delivery as Entebbe continues to grow as a key administrative and economic hub linked to Entebbe International Airport.
