Next Media has concluded Triannual One (T1) of 2026 with what the company described as strong momentum under its annual theme, “Execute to Dominate.”
The period between January and April was marked by major national events, audience-driven campaigns, creative innovation, and expanded efforts to inform and engage Ugandans across multiple platforms.
One of the standout moments of T1 was the company’s coverage of Uganda’s 2026 General Elections. Through television, radio, and digital platforms, Next Media delivered live reporting, analysis, and nationwide updates aimed at keeping audiences informed both locally and internationally.
The company said the election period demonstrated the strength of its integrated newsroom structure and its ability to coordinate coverage across brands during major national events.
Alongside the election coverage, the #IChoosePeaceUG campaign emerged as one of the organization’s flagship public engagement initiatives during the electoral period. The campaign promoted peaceful participation, unity, and responsible citizenship, contributing to wider national conversations around peace and stability.
Next Media also continued investing in community engagement, culture, and the creative economy during the triannual period.
In March, the company rolled out the She Ready campaign and event to celebrate women while creating platforms for discussions around leadership, wellness, personal growth, and everyday experiences affecting women in society.
Across its brands, the company maintained a strong focus on women-centered storytelling and empowerment initiatives.
Sanyuka TV also led the #OlutindoLwabakyala campaign, which brought together women from different regions of Uganda at Next Media. The initiative gave women entrepreneurs an opportunity to showcase their businesses, exchange experiences, and engage with influential female leaders.
The creative industry remained another key focus area through initiatives such as Creata Connect Women’s Edition by Next Creata, which highlighted and supported women within Uganda’s growing creative sector.
Another major milestone during T1 was #TheNextBigVoice, a nationwide talent search initiative by Next Radio aimed at identifying and nurturing emerging radio talent.
The competition attracted hundreds of submissions from across the country and concluded with Lukas Blacc being crowned winner and joining the Next Media ecosystem.
Internally, the company also held Next Media Talks, a session focused on reflection, alignment, and performance review across departments.
According to the company, the engagement highlighted achievements registered during the first four months of the year while setting priorities for Triannual Two (T2).
The session also emphasized execution, adaptability, innovation, and teamwork as central pillars driving the company’s continued expansion across media, streaming, and digital platforms.
Looking ahead, Next Media revealed plans to launch a refined streaming-focused product designed to strengthen digital content experiences across Africa, signaling continued investment in innovation and the future of storytelling.
Throughout T1, the company said it remained guided by its core pillars of Love Uganda, Explore Uganda, Celebrate Uganda, and Inspire Hope, values that continued to shape its storytelling, partnerships, campaigns, and audience engagement strategies.
As the organization transitions into Triannual Two, it says the focus remains on deepening audience trust, supporting communities, expanding digital innovation, and creating platforms that influence conversations and inspire transformation.
