The Mungu Feni Foundation has scooped two major accolades at the West Nile Quality Brand Awards, reaffirming its growing impact in community development across the region.
The foundation was awarded the Quality Excellence Award – Platinum, as the Best Community Development NGO in West Nile 2025 and Best Local NGO in West Nile 2025.
The awards recognise the organisation's outstanding commitment to improving lives, fostering sustainable development, and strengthening social cohesion in West Nile.
Organisers of the awards commended the foundation for its impactful programmes and initiatives that have empowered communities and set a benchmark for service excellence and positive change in the region.
Earlier this year, the NGO also emerged Best Community Transformation Organisation in East Africa at the East Africa Brand Quality Awards, highlighting its growing influence beyond national borders.
“It is a very good achievement for us to receive such awards from the communities. We really appreciate it. This is all about trust team teamwork, coming together to support youths and the vulnerable in the communities. Even those who are jobless come out together to create jobs for themselves," said Feni Benard,
“Like Mungufeni Foundation, we have 5 to 6 projects we are doing for communities, targeting over 300 youths, orphans and the underprivileged so that they can better their lives. “
He noted that the foundation was founded to uplift and transform the lives of vulnerable individuals and communities through charity, humanitarian assistance, and sustainable development, rooted in Christian values and guided by compassion, service and faith.
Mungu Feni Foundation is a fully local NGO that operates without external funding and identifies challenges affecting communities, mobilises resources locally, and directly supports vulnerable groups.
