Treescape Planet Organization has joined forces with Travad Tours Uganda Ltd in a strategic partnership aimed at advancing eco-tourism and promoting environmental sustainability across Uganda.
The collaboration seeks to ensure that every traveler exploring the country also contributes to conservation—planting a tree for every trip.
The partnership officially kicked off today with a tree-planting event at Christ the King High School, Bweya, where students, teachers, and community members came together to plant trees that will provide long-term benefits, including carbon sequestration, biodiversity protection, and environmental education.
On the importance of linking tourism with environmental stewardship, Treescape Planet Organization stated that they aim to restore ecosystems and create climate aware communities.
“Travel should not only create memories; it should also leave the environment better than we found it. Through this partnership, every trip becomes an opportunity to restore ecosystems and build climate-aware communities.”
Travad Tours Uganda Ltd highlighted the role of eco-tourism in creating meaningful experiences while protecting the planet.
“Eco-tourism is the future of travel. By integrating tree-planting and conservation activities into our adventures, we give travelers a deeper, more meaningful connection to Uganda’s landscapes and people.”
The partnership will launch a series of initiatives to strengthen Uganda’s environmental resilience, including eco-friendly travel packages, tree-planting experiences integrated into tours, environmental education for tourists and local communities, and support for schools and restoration sites across the country. Community-driven climate action projects are also part of the plan.
Through this collaboration, Treescape Planet and Travad Tours aim to transform tourism into a force for ecological restoration, showing that travel can leave a lasting positive impact on Uganda’s natural heritage while inspiring responsible, environmentally conscious journeys.
