“The future of Uganda is in your hands. Skills and culture go hand in hand. Never abandon where you come from, even as you pursue new opportunities,” he said.

His appearance coincided with the continued expansion of Apex Digital Skills, a youth-oriented organisation founded in 2025 by Nyanzi Martin Luther.

The initiative has been gaining visibility for its training programmes in digital literacy, content creation, and entrepreneurship targeting school leavers and unemployed youth.

“Apex is here to teach digital tools, job creation, and creative skills. We’re focused on innovation and helping young people realise their potential,” said a local coordinator working with the group.

The organisation has recently conducted workshops in Mukono, Luweero, and Wakiso, drawing positive feedback from participants and area leaders.

Its sessions focus on practical competencies such as mobile technology, graphic design, and social media strategy, with an emphasis on turning digital skills into sustainable income opportunities.

Although Walukaga’s visit was not part of an official Apex activity, his message echoed the programme’s goals of self-reliance, creativity, and grounded personal development.

He told the crowd that every young person must take responsibility for shaping their own future.

“Music is my tool, but your tools may be digital or technical. Just make sure you use them well and respect your roots,” he said.

As the year draws to a close, youth-focused organisations continue to explore community-based approaches to unemployment and social disconnect.

Apex Digital Skills is positioning itself among the emerging efforts that aim to equip young people with practical knowledge, confidence, and market-ready competencies.
