Hundreds of revellers turned up in Fort Portal over the weekend as the Tusker Lite Neon Raves made their latest stop in the Tooro region, bringing together music lovers for a celebration of nightlife, entertainment and youth culture.
The latest edition introduced a new twist to the event by replacing the usual dance competitions with DJ showdowns while retaining the vibrant atmosphere that has become synonymous with the Neon Raves experience.
Activities were held at Le Rêve Bar, Beer Nyama at Tooro Botanical Gardens and Diplomat's Lounge, where partygoers enjoyed music, social entertainment and illuminated neon-themed experiences throughout the weekend.
The event featured performances by DJs Mercy Pro, Trizzy Vybz, Selecta Jeff and Edu Mystique, who kept the crowds entertained with a mix of Afrobeats, amapiano, dancehall, Ugandan hits and other popular genres.
Although the format shifted from dance battles to DJ competitions, organisers said the event remained focused on celebrating creativity and bringing people together through shared entertainment experiences.
Tusker Lite Brand Manager Sandra Againe said the Neon Raves platform continues to evolve while remaining committed to celebrating youth culture and creative expression.
"Neon Raves has grown into a platform that celebrates the many ways young people express themselves. Earlier this year we travelled across Uganda discovering incredible dance talent, and this weekend we explored another important part of nightlife culture through DJs," Againe said.
"Whether it's dance, music or the experiences that bring people together, we're committed to creating spaces where creativity thrives and people can truly Own Their Lite."
Organisers said the Fort Portal edition demonstrated the versatility of the Neon Raves concept by embracing different forms of entertainment while continuing to create memorable experiences for young people.
Tusker Lite said it will continue using music, creativity and entertainment as a platform to connect communities and celebrate emerging talent across Uganda.
