The Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) of the Uganda Police Defence Forces (UPDF), General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, on Tuesday hosted a high-level joint meeting with Denmark Ambassador Signe Winding Albjerg and Netherlands Ambassador Frederieke Quispel at the Special Forces Command (SFC) Headquarters in Kampala.
The meeting, described by General Kainerugaba as both rare and significant, emphasised the value of collaboration and mutual understanding between Uganda and its international partners.
Speaking during the engagement, the CDF highlighted the alignment of Uganda’s foreign policy with those of Denmark and the Netherlands, noting that these shared approaches foster respectful, collaborative, and locally-led partnerships.
“This meeting is a powerful symbol of solidarity. It reaffirms that the most enduring progress is achieved through shared responsibility and concerted efforts,” he said.
Ambassadors Albjerg and Quispel expressed appreciation for the opportunity to meet with the Chief of Defence Forces and commended the strong bilateral ties that exist between their countries and Uganda.
Both diplomats reaffirmed the commitment of Denmark and the Netherlands to deepening these partnerships and enhancing continued cooperation across multiple sectors.

The CDF’s engagement with the Danish and Dutch ambassadors reflects Uganda’s ongoing commitment to strengthening diplomatic and defense ties with key international partners, ensuring sustainable progress through cooperative and mutually beneficial relationships.
