“My vision for Mbarara City North is dignity and prosperity to our people. I want to continue to work for a city where every family has access to clean water, good roads, reliable electricity, quality education, and real economic opportunity. This is leadership you can trust.”

Rukaari, who also serves as an NRM mobiliser in the Greater Western region, vowed to stand firmly with the party leadership and President Museveni in what he described as a collective mission to protect the gains of the past four decades of NRM leadership.

He called on residents to safeguard Mbarara’s status as the heartbeat of enterprise in Western Uganda, emphasizing that the city’s future depends on leaders with both the vision and experience to build on national progress.

“Our city needs leaders who have been part of this journey, who have lived and worked, and who hold both the vision and experience to translate national progress into local opportunity,” Rukaari said.

“As Mbarara and the Greater West, let us lead by example. Let us stand firmly behind our flag bearer, H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. Let us renew our commitment to the NRM’s enduring ideology and continue the mission of national transformation.”

Rukaari underscored that Mbarara’s growth as a hub of enterprise, innovation, and service delivery must continue through unity, patriotism, and hard work.

“Uganda’s journey is far from over. With unity and commitment, we will continue to protect the gains and secure a future of peace and prosperity for generations to come.”

Reflecting on his tenure, Rukaari highlighted his focus on empowering households, supporting enterprise, and promoting inclusive development.

“My focus over the past five years has been on four key areas — skilling the youth, empowering women, powering sustainable development through entrepreneurship, and extending electricity to every division in Mbarara City North. I will ensure that my vision is carried forward in the coming term,” he stated.
