Todwong Tasks NRM Cadres to Deliver Museveni Victory in 2026 Polls

The NRM  Secretary General Richard Todwong has tasked the party leaders in West Nile to work hard to deliver victory for President Yoweri Museveni in the 2026 general elections.

Todwong who was in company of NRM National Vice Chairperson for Northern Uganda Hamson Obua, the party Director of administration and finance Hajjat Medina Nahum Ojale, minister Obiga Kania and Moriku Kaducu is meeting West Nile NRM cadres in Arua city to harmonize the party after a turbulent primary elections and pave way for the arrival of President Museveni in the region for Presidential campaigns.

He also tasked the party leaders to champion education and healthy living for the people in their communities.

"When you have a child in your home, that child should not walk for several kilometers to access formal education. Before NRM, education was for a selected few, NRM has given opportunity for everybody".

Obua explained that the Lango sub- region has set high standards  that should be emulated by West Nile.

He noted that the 2026 campaigns will be an inter district competition , adding, "we want to see the crowds."

Obua also urged party members who lost the party flags to reconsider contesting as independent candidates, noting,  "we do not want to divide the NRM vote."

Zaitun Driwaru a commissioner in the NRM party however urged the party leaders to improve on the state of infrastructure in West Nile.

"You have used the road from Pakwach to Arua it is in a very bad state".

She  also  urged the party cadres to ensure that NRM presidential candidate President  Museveni performs tremendously in the 2026 elections.

Fred Omach, a senior member in the party called for a huge turn up on the Tuesday as President Yoweri Museveni starts his campaigns in the region.
