The Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) has announced the commencement of final asphalt works on Sir Apollo Kaggwa Road in Kawempe and Central Divisions.
The works will run from Monday, 15th September to Sunday, 21st September 2025, between 10:00 PM and 5:00 AM daily.
KCCA has advised motorists to strictly adhere to speed limits, observe diversion signage, and follow the guidance of flag men and traffic police deployed along the route.
During this period, alternative routes have been provided. These include Nsalo Road, Kyadondo 1, Kyadondo 2 Road, Nanfubambi Road, Nakulabye Road, Kimera Road, and George Serwada Road.
In a statement, KCCA apologized for the inconvenience the roadworks may cause but emphasized that the intervention is intended to improve road quality and ease traffic flow in the city.
