Rotary District 9213 has unveiled its 2025–2026 Rotary year under the theme “Unite for Good”, rallying communities, organisations, and individuals to work together in advancing service and kindness.
The Rotary year, which runs from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026, will focus on monthly themes addressing critical areas such as maternal and child health, education, community economic development, disease prevention, peacebuilding, and environmental protection.
District Governor Geoffrey Kitakule, who will oversee 137 clubs comprising 5,349 Rotarians and 3,011 Rotaractors, pledged to strengthen Rotary’s tradition of service.
“I am honoured to serve as District Governor. This year, we’re uniting for good working with communities and partners to create lasting change,” Kitakule said.
He appealed to government, civil society, and the private sector to partner with Rotary in delivering sustainable, community-driven projects.
Key activities lined up for the year include the Annual Cancer Run in August, the Run for the Nile to promote environmental conservation, and the Africa Peace Concert in support of the Rotary Peace Center at Makerere University.
The district will also continue campaigns to eradicate polio, empower youth, and promote peace.
Rotary District 9213 will put a spotlight on storytelling to highlight the real-life impact of its projects, encouraging communities to share their experiences under hashtags #Unite4Good9213, #D9213RotaryCares, and #RotaryEyamba.
Uganda hosts two Rotary districts 9213 and 9214 serving as part of a global network of 1.2 million members across 200 countries.
The country is also home to Africa’s only Rotary Peace Center at Makerere University, which trains peace builders from across the continent.
