Wakiso Giants trump URA

Going by their preparations on and off the field, Wakiso Giants is changing the tide ahead of the new StarTimes Fufa Big League season.

On Tuesday, the Purple Sharks yet again intensified their season preparations by beating topflight outfit URA 2-1 in their 12th pre-season friendly in Wakisha Center.

Coach Ibrahim Kirya’s enjoyed a fine spell in the first half and led 2-0 at half-way stage after Abdul Karim Kasule’s brace.

Paul Mbowa halved the deficit for URA but it was not enough to alter the script, gifting Giants another win over a Uganda Premier League side.

It was Wakiso’s eighth win in 12 friendlies. They have drawn twice and lost 2 games.

Wakiso will travel to meet Masaza side Gomba on Thursday.
