Former Prime Minister and presidential candidate John Patrick Amama Mbabazi has started a new tour of duty after years of leaving Ugandans guessing.
Mbabazi was last week appointed to the Brazaville Foundation advisory board. Mbabazi’s appointment was confirmed by the Foundation in an official news update:
“We're honoured to announce that M. Amama Mbabazi, former Prime Minister of Uganda has joined Brazzaville Foundation's advisory board,” read the update.
Mbabazi joins other distinguished ladies and gentlemen also appointed on the board including; Former Nigerian president Olusegun Obasanjo, Former South African President Kgalema Motlanthe, Former France First lady Cécilia Attias, Nobel Prize winner and former president of East Timor Dr. José Ramos-Horta and former Guinea’s former Prime Minister, Mr Kabine Komara among others.
The Foundation is an independent, non-profit organisation, registered as a charity in the UK. It is managed by an experienced Board of Trustees, supported by an international Advisory Board made up of highly distinguished individuals whose experience and expertise enable them to give guidance to the Foundation and assist it in its work.
According to their website, Brazaville Foundation are dedicated to peace and environmental conservation. The Foundation accordingly develops cross border and regional projects to address key economic and environmental issues, facilitates dialogue between conflicting parties and promotes peaceful regional cooperation.
The Foundation takes a special interest in African issues but its scope, like its Board of Advisers, is international.
