East African Medical Vitals partners with Uganda’s surgical community to boost healthcare efficiency

East African Medical Vitals (EAMV) has strengthened its collaboration with Uganda’s surgical sector, partnering at the Joint Annual Surgical Scientific Conference 2026 held at Speke Resort Munyonyo to advance surgical excellence and system efficiency.

Speaking at the conference, EAMV Managing Director Brian Kavuya emphasized the importance of local manufacturing in building a resilient healthcare system.

He said structured engagement with surgeons allows the company to gather continuous feedback, drive context-specific innovation, and support evidence-based product development tailored to Uganda’s needs.

“Local production enhances system efficiency, reduces dependence on imports, and optimizes resource utilization. Since producing our first surgical glove in 2021, we have expanded capacity to ensure hospitals nationwide have access to consistent, high-quality products,” Kavuya said.

Prof. Moses Galukande praised EAMV for its consistent engagement with the surgical community, noting that the company’s silver sponsorship at the conference demonstrates its commitment to strengthening the quality of surgical care in Uganda.

He added that aligning local production with clinical demand improves supply chain reliability, reduces procedure delays caused by stock-outs, and ensures consistent quality of care in operating theatres.

EAMV’s partnership with Uganda’s surgical fraternity reflects a broader commitment to making quality surgical care accessible, reliable, and proudly manufactured in Uganda.
