V&A Sherry, Miss Uganda Foundation toast new chapter of confidence, ambition and shared success

‎The Miss Uganda Foundation has officially launched the Road to the Crown 2026, marking the start of this year’s search for Uganda’s next beauty queen under the theme Beauty with a Purpose, in partnership with V&A Sherry.

‎The launch, held on June 17 at the Oppein Experience Room in Kampala, brought together media personalities, brand partners, cultural influencers, guests and outgoing Miss Uganda queens in an evening organisers described as a defining moment in the pageant’s 15-year journey.

‎At the heart of the event was a renewed partnership between the Miss Uganda Foundation and V&A Sherry, anchored in shared values of confidence, ambition, self-expression and empowerment, with both sides highlighting their commitment to celebrating modern Ugandan womanhood.

‎The venue reflected V&A Sherry’s signature elegance, with guests treated to a showcase of the brand’s sherry liqueur served in different styles, including neat pours and cocktails such as the V&A Sherrito, the V&A Queen and the classic Vangria.

‎The evening also featured the formal presentation of Miss Uganda 2025, Trivia Elle Muhoza, alongside first runner-up Agatha Drakes Keine and the second runner-up, who thanked partners and sponsors for their continued support and pledged commitment ahead of the global stage.

‎“We are deeply grateful for the support our partners have given us,” said Queen Trivia, who will represent Uganda at the Miss World competition. “I won't disappoint when I take to the global stage.”

‎Roy Ronald Tumwizere, Brand Manager for V&A Sherry at Uganda Breweries Limited, said the partnership reflects a shared mission of empowering young women.

‎“I'm incredibly proud that V&A Sherry, we get to be part of a journey that gives young women the platform to become change-makers in society,” he said. “It meant a lot to see one of the Miss Uganda Foundation's own, Hannah Karema go on to contest for Guild President at Makerere University.”

‎Miss Uganda Foundation CEO and Founder Brenda Nanyonjo said the collaboration has grown stronger over the years.

‎“V&A Sherry has walked with us for four years now, and we're deeply grateful for that partnership,” she said. “We're equally thankful to God for bringing us this far. We're now in our 15th year, and we hope to go even further, together with all our partners and sponsors.”

‎The event concluded with a group photo marking the official start of the 2026 journey to the crown, as partners and sponsors signalled their continued support for the national pageant.

‎This year’s competition is supported by Oppein Uganda, StarTimes, among others.
