The morning session featured History Papers 5 and 6 alongside Physics Paper 1, while the afternoon session included Literature Paper 1, Kiswahili Paper 1, and Physics Paper 2.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Josephine Angucia, the Police Spokesperson for West Nile Region, said no major incidents were reported at any examination centre.
“We are pleased to report that the first day of Senior Six examinations has gone on without any serious incident. Our officers are on the ground to ensure the safety and integrity of the process,” she said.
SSP Angucia urged candidates, invigilators, and other Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) stakeholders to maintain strict adherence to examination regulations.
“Any attempt to engage in exam malpractice or interfere with the examination process will attract criminal prosecution,” she warned.
She also called on the public to report any suspicious activities or disruptions to nearby authorities or police stations to guarantee continued order during the examination period.
By the close of day one, no irregularities had been recorded, and examinations were proceeding smoothly across all districts in the region.
“So far, so good,” SSP Angucia concluded. “We appreciate the cooperation from school administrators, invigilators, and security teams ensuring a peaceful examination atmosphere for our candidates.”
