Galaxy International School Uganda (GISU) is celebrating a historic milestone after recording some of its best Cambridge International A Level results since the school opened in 2013.
The latest examination outcomes not only reflect the hard work of the students but also underscore the school’s growing reputation for academic excellence in Uganda and beyond.
Among the many success stories, one name stood out: Louritah Kayanja. Despite joining the academic year a full term late due to unforeseen circumstances, Kayanja defied all odds to emerge as one of GISU’s top performers.
She excelled with two A grades and one A grade in English Literature, English Language, and Sociology—a remarkable achievement that has been hailed as an inspiration to fellow students.
Kayanja credited her success to the collaborative and nurturing environment at GISU.
“I wouldn’t have managed without the constant encouragement of my teachers, the support of my friends, and the love of my family. The community here truly motivated me to give my best,” she said.
The school’s Examinations Officer, Mr. Swaib Jennerson, expressed immense pride in the students’ achievements and commended the dedicated staff who worked tirelessly to prepare candidates for the rigorous Cambridge assessments.
“We are delighted with the results. A significant number of students managed to maintain or even upgrade their AS Level results, which is a clear indication of growth and resilience. Every year we see improvements, and this motivates us to set the bar even higher,” Jennerson said.
He further pledged that the school would continue to provide the necessary support and resources for future candidates, ensuring that GISU’s academic standards remain among the highest in the region.
The 2025 cohort has been described as one of the strongest yet, with a notable number of students securing top grades across diverse subject areas.
School administrators highlighted that the performance reflects GISU’s commitment to a holistic education model, blending academic rigor with extracurricular opportunities to prepare students for global challenges.
Since its inception in 2013, GISU has steadily grown into a respected international institution, with its Cambridge results consistently improving year after year.
This year’s outcomes mark a significant chapter in the school’s journey, positioning it firmly among Uganda’s leading centers of international education.
The success of this year’s candidates, particularly stories like Kayanja’s, reinforces the school’s mission statement: “Educating to Inspire Global Excellence.”
The results serve as a testament to GISU’s vision of nurturing resilient, high-achieving learners capable of thriving both locally and internationally.
As the school looks ahead, administrators remain confident that the foundation built over the past decade will propel future cohorts to even greater heights.
With renewed determination, GISU is set on strengthening its legacy as an institution where academic dreams are nurtured and realized.
