Police Recover Stolen Firearm in Mukono, Arrest Three Suspects
Gun belonging to private security firm traced to Kajansi following intelligence-led operation

Police in Mukono District have recovered a firearm reported stolen from a private security company and arrested three suspects in connection with the incident.

The case was reported on February 6, 2026, at Mukono Police Station. The firearm is said to belong to Cheetah Security Company.

According to preliminary investigations, Robert Mbabajje, a security guard attached to Cheetah Security Company, allegedly obtained the firearm from his supervisor through deceitful means at the company’s offices in Mukono.

Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Racheal Kawala said intelligence-led operations led to Mbabajje’s arrest in Kajansi with the assistance of an associate, Parker Scoott.

Following the arrest, security teams conducted a search at the suspects’ premises in Kajansi, where the stolen firearm was recovered.

Police identified the other suspects as Blessing Kasongo and Parker Scoott. All three are residents of Kitende Cell A in Kajansi, Wakiso District.

Police say investigations are ongoing to establish the full circumstances under which the firearm was stolen and recovered, and to determine whether other suspects may be involved.
