A Senior Four student in Mbale City was stabbed to death on Monday evening in a suspected case of school gang violence.
Sharik Wasike of Mbale High School was reportedly attacked by an unknown assailant who fled the scene immediately after the incident.
Police say early findings point to possible links with ongoing rivalries among students from Mbale High School, Nkoma Secondary School, and Mbale SS.
The body was taken to Mbale City Mortuary for a postmortem as investigations continue.
Police have appealed to the public for information that may lead to the suspect’s arrest and warned of firm action against gangs operating among students.
