Preparations are underway for the sixth edition of the Uganda Economic Forum, scheduled for September 30 to October 3, 2025.
This year’s forum will focus on unlocking regional value through agro-industrialization, tourism, manufacturing, and services. It aims to bring together leaders from both the public and private sectors to develop strategies for accelerating Uganda’s economic transformation.
The Head of Special Projects at Next Media, one of the organisers, Eugene Kavuma says the forum is aligned with Uganda’s long-term goal of multiplying its GDP tenfold over the next 15 years.
The Next Media Park is set to host top stakeholders, including policymakers, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders from both the public and private sectors at the sixth edition of the Uganda Economic Forum, scheduled for September 30 to October 3, 2025.
The four-day dialogue will focus on Uganda’s strategy to grow its GDP tenfold by 2040. Discussions will center on scaling regional trade, unlocking agro-industrial value chains, boosting tourism, strengthening manufacturing, and positioning services as a key growth engine.
According to the Head of Special Projects at Next Media, Eugene Kavuma, says the forum aims to contribute meaningfully to this ambitious growth plan.
“This forum is about unlocking opportunities across key sectors while fostering collaboration between government, business, and innovators. The conversations here are designed to turn ambition into action,” Kavuma noted.
The Head of Corporate Affairs and Partnerships at Next Media, Ben Mwine, is optimistic that the forum will foster impactful resource allocation discussions aligned with the national budget and development goals
