Speaker Among Backs Mubangizi in Buwekula South Rally
Parliament Speaker Anita Among has urged voters in Mubende District to support NRM candidates, praising Buwekula South MP hopeful Dedan Mubangizi as a dedicated leader.

The Speaker of Parliament, Annet Anita Among, has called on voters in Mubende District to support NRM flag bearers, including President Yoweri Museveni.

Among attended a rally for Buwekula South MP hopeful Dedan Mubangizi at Kalembe Village in Kaloonga Subcounty, en route to a presidential rally in Kasese.

“My people of Buwekula South, I am requesting you to vote for Dedan because he is someone I know very well and he is hardworking,” Among said.

“As I was heading to Kasese, I saw his rally and I could not fail to make a stopover to talk to you because I know him,” she added.

The Speaker described Mubangizi as an asset to the constituency.
“Dedan is my son and I have mentored him. I want to assure you that you have an asset. I want to traverse the whole constituency to ensure that he is voted massively,” Among said.

She also pledged to continue prioritising MPs from Mubende, as she has done for representatives from other areas.
“Dedan, I am going to support you because this area had no leader, but now you have Dedan and he is going to serve with dedication.”

Among urged voters to support all NRM candidates and the party’s presidential flag bearer.
“I am encouraging you to solicit votes for President Museveni and all NRM flag bearers, so on January 15, 2026, please vote for them,” she said.

In his remarks, Mubangizi thanked the Speaker for her support and promised to prioritise service delivery in the constituency.
“I want to tell you that if you vote for me, I will not shame you. I am tested, according to what I have done for you before, and I will continue serving you, my people,” he said.

Mubangizi also joined the Speaker in encouraging voters to back NRM candidates for the development of Mubende.
“Please make sure that you vote a bus everywhere,” he urged supporters.
