I.T specialist to start farming with millions won from MTN MoMoNyabo Promo

Most of this year’s MoMoNyabo Together winners have resorted to investing the money they won into their business ventures to earn more, given the current economic hardships Ugandans are facing due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The case is not different for Daniel Zziwa, an Information Technology Specialist working with Denana Clinic and medical laboratory services in Mbarara.

The exuberant winner of Shs 4.2 million from the on-going MoMoNyabo Together promotion failed to contain his excitement as he jumped and rained praises on MTN.

“I have been following the show and would always ask my wife when I will win,” Zziwa said as he explained how he was sure that indeed he was an actual winner and was not getting conned.

Zziwa chose to share the money he won with his mother Florence Nakabugo. “My breakthrough should be my mother’s too seeing as my wife and I are one and what is mine is hers,” said Zziwa who bagged 2,600,000 UGX while his mother received 1,600,000 UGX.

“COVID has been hard and we had to take the children to my mother’s place while we tried to survive during these hard times,” Zziwa said.

A farming enthusiast who has always wanted to start his own farm but limited by financial resources was excited that his dream would finally come pass. Zziwa intends to start rearing rabbits and pigs.

“With these farms I believe my income will greatly improve and enable me take better care of my family,” he said.

Zziwa revealed that his mother intends to use the money she received to purchase solar electricity for her home.

“Finally she will have electricity at her home something she has been yearning to have," he said.

While handing over the cheque to Zziwa, MTN’s Western Region Trade Manager, Aggrey Byaruhanga congratulated him and encouraged the residents of Mbarara to continuing using the mobile money service MTN offers so that they too can stand a chance to win just like Zziwa.
