UPL: Police continue with losing streak; Kyetume wins second game in a row
Abdalla Mubiru must find a quick solution to their current predicament or else the 2005 Uganda Premier League champions might find themselves relegated.
On Saturday, the law and order enforcers found themselves on yet another bad side after suffering a third consecutive defeat in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
This time, the cops were put to the sword by Busoga United in three-goal thriller played at the Mighty Arena in Jinja.
It was Boban Zirintuusa and Julius Debbo who inflicted pain on Abdalla Mubiru’s side in a game where the hosts played most of the time with only nine players after Isma Kawawulo and Umar Mukobe were shown marching orders.
Police got a consolation from Samson Kigozi but it was not enough to cause change in the game.
The result ensured Police have now lost three games in a row as Mubiru’s team continue on a losing streak.
Kyetume wins two games in a row
At Wankulukuku, things continued to be bad for Uganda Cup finalists, Bright Stars after being beaten by new league entrants Kyetume FC in another encounter in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League on Saturday evening.
Sharif Ssaka was the match-winner in the 63rd minute for the Mukono based side as they won their second game in a row but on the other hand, Bright Stars continued with the poor form that has seen them go as the only team yet to register a win in the league.
