142 officers reshuffled in latest police transfers
A total of 142 police officers have been transferred and given various assignments in the latest reshuffle by the Inspector General of Police, Okoth Ochola.
The transfers announced on Saturday evening saw Fred Enanga moved from the Criminal Investigations Division headquarters in Kibuli and reinstated as the police spokesperson to replace Emilian Kayima who was transferred to the office of the Chief Political Commissar as the person in charge of information and publication.

The transfers also saw Polly Namaye bounce back as the deputy police spokesperson whereas Patrick Onyango is now the Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson to be deputized by Luke Owoyesigyire.
CID most affected
The latest transfers have seen the Criminal Investigations Division of the Uganda Police Force the most affected department with over 40 police officers moved either to or from CID.
The department saw Fred Enanga who was the personnel in charge of administration and training moved to a new office as the Public Relations Officer of the force whereas the police forensics commander Samuel Ezati was transferred to CID headquarters in Kibuli.
Flying Squad commander changed
After only six months after being appointed in the position, Senior Superintendent of Police Peter Kakonge who was appointed the Flying Squad commander in June last year had been transferred.
The Saturday transfers saw Kakonge moved to CID headquarters in Kiblui before being replaced by Detective Senior Superintendent of Police Godwin Tumugumye as the Flying Squad commandant.
Tumugumye has been the CID Commander for Kampala Metropolitan Police area.
The Saturday transfers also saw Superintendent of Police Andrew Zimula appointed to head the police Forensics Department and will be deputized by Superintendent of Police Sylvia Chelangat.
