The riders will travel through France, Switzerland, Germany, Liechtenstein and Austria before returning to Italy, traversing scenic mountain passes, historic cities and renowned cultural landmarks along the way.
One of the riders shared the group's excitement upon arrival in Milan.
“Touch down Milan, Italy with my comrades from Bikers Uganda. We will be riding through six European countries over the next nine days. Looking forward to this epic trip,” he posted.
The expedition is part of a broader effort to promote Uganda as an adventure tourism destination and showcase the country's growing network of tourism ambassadors who are using their personal interests and experiences to market the Pearl of Africa internationally.
The journey was officially launched during POATE 2026, Uganda's flagship tourism exhibition, where stakeholders highlighted the role of innovative tourism experiences in attracting new audiences and strengthening destination marketing.
“This ride demonstrates the spirit of adventure that Uganda offers visitors. It is a unique way of promoting tourism while creating international connections and showcasing the potential of motorcycle tourism,” said Tony Otoa, a member of Bikers Uganda, during the launch.
Throughout the trip, the riders are expected to document their experiences across Europe's scenic routes, mountain ranges, historic towns and cultural attractions. The content will be shared with audiences both in Uganda and abroad.
Tourism stakeholders view such initiatives as an opportunity to tap into the growing global adventure tourism market. Motorcycle tourism has gained popularity worldwide, attracting enthusiasts who travel long distances in search of unique landscapes, cultural experiences and memorable journeys.
The Ugandan riders' route will take them through sections of the Alps, picturesque villages and some of Europe's most celebrated tourism destinations. Along the way, they hope to build connections with international riding communities and inspire more Ugandans to explore tourism through adventure travel.
“This is not only about riding motorcycles; it is about representing Uganda, sharing our story and showing that Ugandans can participate in global tourism experiences while promoting our own destination,” Otoa said.
As they navigate winding mountain roads and cross multiple international borders, the riders carry with them a message first shared at POATE: that tourism is about exploration, connection and storytelling.
For the next nine days, that story will unfold across Europe, with a group of Ugandan riders serving as ambassadors for adventure, friendship and the Pearl of Africa.
