Salam TV and Al Mustafa Islamic College have agreed to partner on advancing Islamic education and Da’wah initiatives in Uganda. The two institutions are expected to sign a formal memorandum of understanding (MoU) in the coming days.
The partnership was finalised during a visit by a Salam TV delegation led by Managing Director Hajji Karim Kaliisa to Al Mustafa Islamic College in Kyengera.
The visit marked a significant step towards collaboration in training, curriculum development and community outreach. Both institutions said the partnership would help expand access to authentic Islamic knowledge and strengthen faith-based education programmes.
During the meeting, the two sides outlined plans for joint training programmes targeting Muslim leaders and community educators.
The training will focus on Islamic jurisprudence, family guidance, spiritual development and interfaith dialogue. Al Mustafa Islamic College will also support Salam TV by providing educational and community-focused content for broadcast.
“At Salam TV, our core mission is to spread authentic Islamic knowledge and Da’wah across Uganda and beyond,” Kaliisa said.
“We do not wait on the sidelines when it comes to matters of Islam and community development. We lead from the front.”
Officials from Al Mustafa Islamic College welcomed the partnership, saying Salam TV’s wide audience reach would help amplify the institution’s educational programmes and community engagement efforts.
“We are ready to provide community-focused content and academic support that aligns with Salam TV’s vision for Da’wah,” a college representative said.
As part of the visit, the Salam TV delegation toured the college’s facilities, including lecture halls and training spaces, to assess resources that could support the planned initiatives.
The memorandum of understanding is expected to be signed soon, formally establishing a partnership aimed at strengthening Islamic scholarship, leadership development and grassroots education in Uganda.
