East Africa Strategic Investment Forum CEO in talks with Ambassador of Ukraine to Kenya

In a bid to get to life the objectives of the East Africa Strategic Investment Forum, CEO Dr Paul Bamutaze spent part of Wednesday in Nairobi, Kenya, engaging with the Ambassador of Ukraine to Kenya Pravednyk Andrii.

Having served in the following positions; Attaché, Third Secretary at the Division for international legal issues of multilateral cooperation at the Department for International Law of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Third Secretary at the Embassy of Ukraine in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and the Northern Ireland, First Secretary at the Division for international legal issues of multilateral cooperation at the Department for International Law of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Counselor, Acting Head of the Division of International Public Law at the Directorate for International Law of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Counselor at the Embassy of Ukraine in the Kingdom of the Netherlands among other areas, Pravednyk Andrii presents a wealth of knowledge in fostering investment by Ukraine in the East Africa region but most importantly growing the relationship.

The two discussed among many other things; Africa food security, respect for international law and opportunities for investment between Ukraine and East Africa in Areas of Agriculture, defence and technology among others.

Dr Bamutaze also used the opportunity to call for an end to the Russian operations in Ukraine.

Andrii was appointed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Kenya in 2018.

He also serves as the Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the United Nations Environment Program and as Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the United Nations Human Settlements Program since 4/3/2019 as well as the Ambassador of Ukraine to Tanzania and Rwanda.

Paul remains optimistic that this engagement and others will go along way in opening doors for investment in the East Africa Region and foster better relationships with other countries
