Speaking during a partners’ appreciation event, Rotary officials expressed gratitude to organisations that have consistently supported humanitarian projects across communities in Uganda.
Among those recognised was Next Media, which received special appreciation for its role in amplifying Rotary’s work through its platforms, including NBS Television and Afromobile.
The media house was praised for providing extensive coverage of Rotary initiatives, helping to raise public awareness and encourage community participation in service activities.
Rotary officials noted that partnerships with the corporate sector have been key in expanding the reach of programmes focused on health, education, environmental conservation, youth empowerment and broader community development.
Awards were presented to outstanding corporate partners in recognition of their contribution and continued collaboration throughout the financial year.
Speaking at the ceremony, Rotary leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening partnerships aimed at driving sustainable community transformation, stressing that meaningful impact is best achieved through collaboration between service organisations, the private sector and the public.
Representatives from Next Media, upon receiving the recognition, reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to supporting initiatives that create positive social impact. They pledged continued use of their platforms to highlight stories of service, hope and transformation driven by Rotary initiatives.
The event marked the conclusion of the financial year, celebrating a shared commitment to “service above self” while setting the stage for deeper collaboration in the year ahead.
