Sunday delivered both nerves and passion as Ssingo County held off Bugerere, while Buweekula staged a dramatic comeback to shatter Kyaggwe's hopes of a maiden final appearance, securing their places in the 2025 Masaza Cup final.

The second leg of the semi-finals served up a spectacle worthy of a final, with intense battles and emotional twists.

At a charged Mityana Ssaza Grounds, Ssingo—defending a narrow 2-1 first-leg advantage—engaged in a tactical war with Bugerere.

The contest was fierce, culminating in a red card for each side. Ssingo, determined to protect their home turf, matched defensive grit with attacking threats, even rattling the crossbar late in the game.

A goalless draw on the day was enough to seal a 2-1 aggregate win, placing them within touching distance of a historic third Masaza Cup title.

The atmosphere was electrified by the presence of high-profile dignitaries including Minister Judith Nabakooba, MP Francis Zaake, and Buganda Minister in Charge of Local Government Joseph Kawuki.

Among the jubilant Ssingo supporters was Grace Navvubya, Pilsner King Distribution Representative for Mityana, who expressed her pride:

“Today, we saw the heart of a champion. The resilience of Ssingo, playing with ten men and holding firm, is what true spirit is all about. As Pilsner King, we are proud to celebrate this moment with the fans — all the way to Nakivubo.”

Meanwhile, in Mukono, the other semi-final kicked off under stormy conditions, delayed by a heavy downpour that foreshadowed the drama ahead. Buweekula, trailing 1-0 from the first leg, found their hero in Semanda Colline, who netted just a minute into the second half to level the tie.

With a 1-0 full-time score bringing the aggregate to 2-2, the match went to penalties. The tension proved too much for Kyaggwe, as two missed spot kicks handed Buweekula a 4-3 victory in the shootout—silencing their once-vibrant supporters.

Now, all eyes turn to the final showdown: Will Ssingo maintain their resilience and lift a third title, or will Buweekula ride their wave of momentum to ultimate Masaza Cup glory?

The stage is set for the grand finale at Nakivubo Stadium on November 1.
