Uganda has been drawn against Ethiopia in this year’s CECAFA senior men’s challenge cup to be played in Kampala between December 7 and 19.
The groups announced on Sunday saw the hosts also pitted against Burundi and Eritrea in group A
In other groups, DRC playing as visitors was pitted against South Sudan, Somalia and Sudan in group B whereas in group C, Kenya will play Tanzania, Djibouti and Zanzibar.
Rwanda absconds
In other news, Rwanda absconded from taking part in this year’s CECAFA tournament citing financial constraints as the standoff between the two neighbouring countries continues.
