Maj Gen Mugisha Muntu, the former Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) Ppresident shall at 10.00 am today address the media over his next move following his defeat during the FDC presidential elections on November 24.

In facebook post yesterday, Muntu wrote: "Fellow Ugandans, I would like to thank all of you for the great show of support for the pursuit of democracy as well as our concerted and continuing struggle for a better Uganda. I will be holding a press conference tomorrow (November 29) at 10am at Hotel Africana. God bless you all. "

On Monday, some of Muntu's supporters urged him to leave FDC saying the atmosphere in Uganda's biggest political party had been poisoned by those who favour defiance.

But the former army commander has been coy about his next political move.

Muntu was defeated by Patrick Oboi Amuriat, a former MP for Kumi county.

In his concession speech after his defeat, Muntu said some party members did not trust him and like a commander, he could not continue leading them. He said he will make an important statement in the coming days.
