New Ambulance donated by MP overturns while being driven to venue for handover

A newly acquired ambulance donated to constituents of Butembe County by their area Member of Parliament Nelson Lufafa, has over turned while being driven to its venue of handover.

The ambulance, registration number UBD 699Q was being driven by a one Henry Kisakye to Bugembe Maternity, Butembe County in Jinja District when the driver lost control of it, veered off road and it overturned near Bugembe Islamic Institute along Jinja- Iganga Highway, just meters from the venue.

According to a personal assistant of Lufafa, the MP was due to handover the ambulance at a ceremony organised at Bugembe Maternity.

“The ambulance has overturned unfortunately just when we were supposed to hand it over shortly. The MP is really disheartened but he has decided to proceed with the function and speak to the people with or without the ambulance,” Lufafa’s personal assistant told Nile Post.
