The business was communicated in a letter dated July 16, 2026, by Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja in her capacity as Leader of Government Business, outlining the agenda for parliamentary sittings scheduled for July 21 to 23, 2026.
"Pursuant to Rule 29(1) of the Rules of Procedure of Parliament of Uganda, the Leader of Government Business is required to make a statement in the House regarding business of the succeeding week," Nabbanja wrote.
According to the statement, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will table a report on treaties, protocols and international agreements ratified or acceded to by Uganda between 2021 and 2025.
The Minister of Works and Transport will present a comprehensive statement on the status of roads across the country, providing lawmakers with an update on road infrastructure.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Development will brief Parliament on the implementation status of the Electricity Access Scale-up Project, which is aimed at expanding electricity connectivity across Uganda.
The scheduled ministerial statements are expected to give Members of Parliament an opportunity to scrutinise government performance in infrastructure development, energy access and the country's international obligations before debating the issues and making recommendations.
