The Rotary Club of Kampala Early Bird ushered in a new chapter of leadership on Monday, July 6, 2026, as Sam Ntulume was officially installed as the club's seventh president during a ceremony held at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel.
The morning event brought together Rotary members, guests and partners to celebrate the club's achievements over the past year while officially handing over leadership from outgoing president Victoria Kayagga Kigundu.
The installation ceremony recognized the contributions made under Kayagga Kigundu's tenure, during which the club strengthened its community engagement and advanced Rotary's mission of service above self.
In his inaugural address, Ntulume pledged to build on the club's achievements by strengthening membership, deepening partnerships and expanding community service initiatives that create lasting impact.
"Our focus will remain on serving communities through meaningful projects while fostering stronger collaboration among members and partners," Ntulume said as he outlined his vision for the new Rotary year.
Members paid tribute to the outgoing president for her commitment, dedication and leadership, crediting her with steering the club through a successful year of service. They also expressed confidence that the incoming leadership would continue the club's growth and further extend its reach through impactful community programmes.
The installation reaffirmed the Rotary Club of Kampala Early Bird's commitment to the core values of Rotary—service, fellowship, integrity and leadership. Members pledged to continue supporting initiatives that improve lives while strengthening the bonds of friendship and volunteerism that define the organisation.
With a new leadership team now in place, the club is preparing for another year of community service, fundraising and fellowship activities aimed at addressing social needs and creating sustainable impact across Uganda.
