The delegation, led by Mr Umar Bchinnati, delivered a message from Sheikh Mansour bin Jabor before holding discussions with President Museveni on expanding investment opportunities in Uganda.
According to the President, the talks centred on strategic sectors where Uganda and Qatar can deepen cooperation, including fruit processing, starch production, coffee processing, pharmaceuticals, energy and logistics.
President Museveni said Uganda offers abundant natural resources, a growing market and a capable workforce, making it an attractive destination for investors seeking long-term opportunities.
He noted that partnerships bringing capital, technology and modern equipment are critical to creating jobs, adding value to locally produced raw materials and accelerating Uganda's socio-economic transformation.
"I welcome this collaboration and look forward to strengthening our ties with Qatar," President Museveni said.
The meeting underscores Uganda's continued efforts to attract foreign direct investment and advance industrialisation through value addition, in line with the government's broader economic development agenda.
