Hajji Karim Kaliisa, the Managing Director of Salam TV and Salam Charity, has visited River Flow International Ltd, where he toured its science innovation and teaching facilities in Maya along Masaka Road.
He was received by Ssimuka Muhammad, who hosted him on a guided tour of the factory, offices, and showroom where science teaching kits are designed and manufactured.
During the visit, scientists at the facility engaged Kaliisa in detailed discussions on science education and how the locally produced kits are being used to simplify science learning in Ugandan schools.
Kaliisa commended the company for its innovation and impact, saying such initiatives are critical in strengthening practical science education in the country. He also called on government and education stakeholders to support local innovators developing solutions tailored to Uganda’s learning needs.
He further noted that partnerships between media, private sector players, and innovators can help amplify awareness and uptake of such homegrown solutions.
Ssimuka Muhammad expressed appreciation for the visit and the continued engagement with Next Media, describing the collaboration as “a rare blessing that cannot be taken for granted.”
The visit ended with a group photo involving Kaliisa, Ssimuka Muhammad, and staff at the Maya facility, followed by a handshake between the two leaders to mark what both sides described as a strengthening of long-term collaboration.
