Access to clean and safe water continues to be a pressing challenge across East Africa, but a new technological breakthrough could help change that narrative.
Grace Clean Energy & Water Limited is set to unveil its latest innovation in water purification — the VIQUA Arros™ UV System — at an exclusive showcase in Kampala.
The event, scheduled for May 13, 2026, at Méstil Hotel & Residences, will bring together industry experts, stakeholders and potential clients for a first-hand look at the next-generation purification technology.
According to the company, the VIQUA Arros™ system is designed for both residential and light commercial use, offering streamlined installation and enhanced performance.
The system uses advanced ultraviolet (UV) technology to eliminate harmful pathogens from water without the use of chemicals, making it both safe and environmentally friendly.
“Pure innovation has arrived,” said Dinese Hannewald of the Grace Clean Energy & Water Limited. “With the VIQUA Arros™, we are introducing a new standard of water safety in East Africa, ensuring that households and businesses can access clean, pathogen-free water with ease.”
The showcase will also feature the company’s solar backup power solutions, highlighting an integrated approach to addressing two critical regional challenges — access to clean water and reliable energy.
Attendees are expected to witness live product demonstrations, technical sessions led by experts, customer testimonials and networking opportunities.
Founded in 2022, Grace Clean Energy & Water Limited has grown into a player in the region’s clean energy and water sector, serving more than 275,000 users across Uganda and Kenya through installation and after-sales support services.
Beyond its commercial operations, the company says it supports communities through initiatives such as the Good Water and Good Energy Projects, aimed at expanding access to essential services while offering flexible payment options to qualifying customers.
Its water purification systems are certified by international and regional standards bodies, including the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Uganda National Bureau of Standards, and are designed to meet or exceed World Health Organization guidelines.
With a growing client base that includes NGOs, hospitals, schools, hotels and businesses across East Africa, the company is positioning itself within the region’s expanding market for sustainable water and energy solutions.
As Uganda and neighbouring countries continue to prioritise access to clean water, innovations such as the VIQUA Arros™ system could play a role in improving public health and reducing reliance on costly alternatives such as bottled water.
The Kampala showcase marks not just a product launch, but a broader push toward improving access to clean water and sustainable energy solutions in the region.
