Kabale University has appointed Associate Professor Helen Musanabera Byamugisha as its new Deputy Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration.
The appointment was made by Chancellor Mathew Rukikaire and announced in a press release issued on April 15, 2026, by Vice Chancellor Joy Constance Kwesiga.
According to the university, Assoc. Prof. Byamugisha brings extensive experience in higher education administration and institutional governance to the role.
“Kabale University will benefit from her counsel to ensure the University achieves its mission and vision,” Prof. Kwesiga said in the statement.
She added that the institution looks forward to Byamugisha’s contribution in strengthening efficiency, transparency, and sustainability in its financial and administrative operations.
The appointment comes as the university continues to position itself for growth and improved institutional management within Uganda’s higher education sector.
