Speaking during NBS Barometer on Tuesday, Kaija explained that the opposition remains largely focused on the broader struggle for freedom and human rights.
He noted that this ongoing struggle continues to shape the nature and focus of opposition political engagement in the country.
“Opposition campaigns in Uganda are not yet fully issue-based because the opposition is still engaged in the struggle for freedom and human rights,” he said.
Kaija’s remarks highlight the current state of opposition politics in Uganda, where the emphasis remains on advocating for freedom and human rights rather than conducting campaigns centered primarily on policy issues.
